The Yapeen Pub |

I'll permalink some local info later. but for now, here's a photographer's page with some Yapeen history.
some possible places to list/market the pub: Daylesford cottages, dogfriendly accommodation,, and I quite like the functions on this one: daylesford getaways.
they manage this place, which is for sale at a MUCH higher price than I'm paying for the pub. it has more land and a creek and of course is nicely done up. but it's the template for the kind of place I'd like to make the pub, very longterm. I'm reading a few garden design books. the challenge will be to get all the different elements I want - cottage garden, a line of oaks, a native area, a dam, some olive and fruit trees - all into the land without making it fussy. I think the exotics will go at the front, behind maybe a line of bottlebrushes, then the back area will be a bit of a native wilderness. I had thought of an orchard at the back, but it will divide up the area I can put large trees in from the dam/plunge pool. then some herbs and vegies can go between them.
