funny how everyone who sees the place goes "wow. great place. a lot of work."

I think I have a replacement plumber. I even went so far as to buy a second-hand stovetop for him to connect to the gas. I've even bought some plants - just basic bushes and creepers - as a gesture of goodwill towards the eventual, dreamt-of garden.
